Air Logistics Group (ALG) marks its 20th anniversary in India with plans for regional expansion, driven by the evolving aviation and logistics landscape targeting smaller cities and airports.
Air Logistics Group (ALG), a global air cargo general sales and service agent (GSSA), is celebrating its 20th anniversary in India. Launched in June 2004, ALG’s Indian head office in Delhi has grown to become a pivotal part of the company’s global network. As ALG looks to the next 20 years, it promises regional expansion, spurred by the evolving Indian aviation and logistics industry, which is increasingly considering smaller cities and airports.
“Air Logistics India is ready to embrace the rapidly evolving digital landscape, empowered by technology to enhance sales, identify and monitor market trends, and provide customers with the fastest possible quote response times 24/7,” ALG stated. With 88 offices in 48 countries, ALG provides customized cargo solutions globally, including sales, marketing, operations, customer service, and accounting, supported by advanced business intelligence tools.
Vikramjit Singh Ahluwalia, Managing Director of ALG India since its inception, expressed pride in the team’s achievements over the last two decades. He highlighted the pan-India presence of ALG, which encompasses all metro cities, and praised the team’s commitment to customer service and integrity. “From where Air Logistics India started back in 2004, we have evolved to become a true GSSA partner, committed to delivering more than just sales assistance; we are dedicated to being a one-stop solution provider to both airlines and forwarders alike,” Ahluwalia said.
Sakshi Gupta, Country Manager India, who joined ALG in July 2016, emphasized the organization’s strong foundation in financial stability, IT investment, compliance, and business intelligence. She credited the local team’s knowledge and expertise in the unique Indian market for ALG’s success, highlighting the importance of exceptional customer service and interpersonal relationships.
Stephen Dawkins, CEO of ALG, acknowledged the significant contribution of ALG India to the company’s global growth. “In Vikramjit, we found a true professional partner who has ensured that our reputation has continued to grow in a significant cargo market,” Dawkins said. He praised the team’s ability to adapt to the dynamic Indian market while maintaining transparency and compliance.
The anniversary celebrations also saw congratulations from industry leaders like S.L. Sharma, Chairman of Skyways Group, and Vipin Vohra, Chairman of Continental Carriers, who lauded the hard work, dedication, and strong bonds fostered by the ALG India team. Yashpal Sharma, Managing Director of Skyways Group, and Cyrus Katgara, Partner at Jeena & Company, also expressed their best wishes for ALG’s continued success.
