Airbus has announced a design competition for the livery of its new A350F freighter aircraft.
The contest will end on November 28, with the winner being announced on March 15.
The aircraft’s first flight is scheduled for 2024, according to Airbus.
Airbus explained, “The A350F is a large freighter aircraft with over 1000 sq m of playable surface.”
“The design should take into account how this new generation, advanced, modern aircraft will benefit global air freight operators and airlines.” The design can be simple or detailed, hand-drawn, painted, or created in any medium you want, depending on your style. It can be completely abstract or realistic, and it can be submitted in one or several colours. The winner will collaborate with Airbus to create the final livery design. It will be seen in the air for the first time on its first flight, scheduled for 2024, and will be used to showcase the aircraft to operators and airlines worldwide. “
The winner will also receive a limited edition scale model of the aircraft at the Le Bourget Paris Airshow, where the winning design will be unveiled, as well as a private factory tour to witness the winning design come to life as it takes its first flight.
