Agra Development Authority plans a major logistics hub in Mudhera village, enhancing regional transport.
The Agra Development Authority (ADA) is set to initiate a major infrastructural development by constructing a state-of-the-art logistics hub in Mudhera village, southeast of Gwalior Road. This ambitious project, with an estimated cost of ₹570 crore, aims to significantly bolster the region’s logistics and transportation network.
During its 143rd board meeting, the ADA approved the proposal, highlighting a detailed financial plan that includes an expenditure of ₹4,000 per square meter for land acquisition and ₹2,500 per square meter for development. The land sale price is projected to be ₹13,000 per square meter, which is competitive compared to the current market rate of ₹25,000 to 30,000 per square meter.
The logistics hub will cover 88 hectares and will be strategically located near the proposed new townships in Kakua and Bhandai, just one kilometer from Bhandai railway station. The project is divided into two financial commitments: ₹350 crore for land acquisition and ₹220 crore for development. This initiative is expected to ease city traffic by reducing the number of goods trucks on the roads.
Land for the hub will be purchased from local farmers at four times the current circle rate, totaling ₹350 crore. The hub’s location ensures quick access to major routes such as the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, Yamuna Expressway, and Jaipur Highway, enhancing logistical efficiency.
Designated as an industrial zone in the Agra Master Plan 2031, Mudhera’s transformation underscores Agra’s commitment to industrial growth. The logistics hub is anticipated to spur economic development, job creation, and improved transportation infrastructure, positioning Agra as a logistical powerhouse.
