Adani and Embraer to build regional jets in India, enhancing domestic aerospace manufacturing and supply chain expertise.

On 27 January 2026, the Adani Group and the Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer announced a strategic partnership to produce regional transport aircraft within India. This venture represents a significant expansion for the conglomerate, which already functions as the largest airport operator in the nation.
The collaboration focuses on the manufacturing and assembly of commercial jets with capacities of up to 150 seats, alongside a concerted effort to increase local production components. Civil Aviation Secretary Samir Kumar Sinha stated on 27 January 2026 that the agreement prioritises the progressive transfer of technology to establish a resilient domestic supply chain.
This initiative aims to position India as a reliable global hub for regional aviation manufacturing. By developing a comprehensive indigenous ecosystem, the partnership intends to meet rising domestic demand while reducing the country’s historical dependence on foreign-built aircraft.
