Qatar Airways Cargo has optimised its Next Generation Fresh process for all types of perishable shipments, including fruits, vegetables, seafood, and flowers. Each year, Qatar Airways Cargo transports more than 285,000 tonnes of perishable commodities across its global network. Fresh Care, Fresh Passive, and Fresh Advanced are three subcategories that guarantee the delicate cargo is handled skillfully and carefully in accordance with industry-specific requirements. Qatar Airways Cargo’s perishables expertise has been confirmed through a thorough IATA CEIV certification process, leading to IATA CEIV Fresh accreditation.
The most defenseless link in the supply chain for perishable goods has received special attention from Qatar Airways Cargo, which has deployed temperature-controlled trucks and arranged quick ramp transfers within 90 minutes to reduce ramp exposure. This is in addition to the company’s cutting-edge Climate Control Center at Doha’s Hamad International Airport. Enhancing security along the cool chain lowers the possibility of food loss and guarantees that goods arrive in good, marketable condition with the longest possible shelf life.
