Drone tech startup TSAW Drones is entering a strategic partnership with Kanhaiya Life Care Medicine to start a first-of-its-kind B2C medicine delivery service through drones in Kolkata. The company aims to provide quick and efficient medicine delivery to patients’ doorsteps while reducing the delays caused due to road traffic.
Kanhaiya Medical’s Hind Motor warehouse will use drone-assisted parcel pickup for seamless and uninterrupted transportation of vital medical supplies to many recipients, including residents, loyal patrons, and law enforcement personnel. These parcels will be delivered to TSAW’s Howrah drone hub, where TSAW’s skilled bikers will complete the final leg of the delivery to their destinations.
This B2C drone delivery service of medicines will initially be launched in a few areas of Kolkata and eventually expand to other localities soon. TSAW will enable buyers to place orders through their website and Tele-calling and expect delivery within a few minutes.
The drone delivery service was inaugurated in Kolkata on April 18th at Hind Motor, where many attendees witnessed the launch. TSAW’s drone logistics arm DRONECO’s infrastructure has significantly reduced the average delivery duration for medicines over a distance of 17.6 kilometres, which previously demanded at least an hour. With the drone-assisted transport covering a distance of 11 kilometres within just eight minutes, the startup has demonstrated its prowess in optimising and streamlining logistical processes.
