The opening of STCs in Nagpur and Guwahati is part of Gati’s plan to build 12 modern, automated, and environmentally friendly surface transshipment centres (STC). The company intends to open additional STCs in Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Hyderabad in order to strengthen its supply chain and warehousing competencies and networks.
The Nagpur STC is strategically located on the Nagpur-Amravati Road and has the capacity to efficiently manage short-haul deliveries in west India as well as long-haul deliveries across the country. The STC, which is equipped with advanced technologies, provides its customers with optimised supply chains, reduced dwell times, and on-time deliveries.
Nagpur STC was designed in accordance with green norms, and it has world-class material handling capabilities, integrated warehousing and distribution systems, shop floor automation, an innovative warehouse management system, and excellent safety measures. The facility has enough ports to accommodate over 100 trucks per day and can process more than 1800 tonnes per day. The Nagpur STC will serve a variety of industries, such as automotive, electrical equipment, apparel, heavy engineering, pharmaceutical, etc., with customised solutions. When sorting, loading, and unloading freight, the Nagpur STC adheres to the highest standards of performance and accuracy.

The Guwahati STC, which is strategically located in the Gauripur industrial corridor, is approximately 40,000 square feet in size. The STC is linked to the rest of the country via the National Highway. The arterial road provides convenient access to the STC.
