BIDA plans a 38-km logistics corridor, ₹1,500 crore approved, and water supply pipeline nearing completion in Jhansi.
Bundelkhand is poised for significant development with the Bundelkhand Industrial Development Authority (BIDA) expediting major projects. A six-lane, 38-kilometer logistics corridor is set to enhance industrial connectivity, supported by a ₹1,500 crore budget. The corridor will integrate with the railway freight network, streamlining cargo movement across the region.
BIDA officials confirmed that tenders will be finalised by next month, enabling construction to commence. The first phase covers 400 hectares, while 21,000 acres across 33 villages are earmarked for the second phase. Additional infrastructure projects, including electricity development, are also in the pipeline.
Simultaneously, the Amrit Yojana pipeline project, connecting Matatila Dam to Jhansi, is nearing completion. Over 464 kilometers of internal pipelines have been laid, with the remaining 25 kilometers progressing swiftly. The ₹553 crore project includes nine overhead tanks and 10 reservoirs, ensuring tap water for every household by December.
These initiatives aim to transform Bundelkhand into an industrial and economic hub.
