Bon V Aero, Odisha-based deep tech start-up, unveils Air Orca, India’s first fully autonomous logistics drone, with Tim Draper’s support.
Bon V Aero, an Odisha-based deep tech start-up, has introduced Air Orca, India’s first fully autonomous logistics drone, marking a major leap in India’s drone and logistics technology. The launch event saw renowned venture capitalist Tim Draper, known for early investments in Tesla and Hotmail, offering his support, underlining the international interest in Bon V Aero’s innovation.
Draper had earlier invested $1.6 million in the company following its win at the Meet the Drapers finale in February 2024. The Air Orca drone is designed for diverse logistics challenges, offering high-altitude operational capabilities, particularly in regions where traditional transport is impractical.
The drone can function as a first responder during disasters and support military logistics in challenging terrains such as the Himalayas. With its indigenously developed technology, Air Orca is poised to revolutionise logistics in healthcare, e-commerce, and defence, both in India and globally.
