Compact Container Systems’ SeaFold HC 40′ aims to cut emissions and storage costs.
Florida-based Compact Container Systems (CCS) has introduced the SeaFold HC 40’, the world’s first foldable shipping container with a five-in-one design. This innovative container targets improved operational efficiency, reduced empty container movements, and a significant decrease in carbon emissions across the logistics supply chain.
With over 20 percent of ISO containers returning empty to their origin, the SeaFold 40’ offers a solution by cutting container repositioning costs by 56 percent, storage needs by 80 percent, and carbon emissions by up to 70 percent. “Our foldable design, which allows five containers to occupy the space of one standard 40’ container, is transformative for managing storage and reducing emissions,” said Charlie Santos-Buch, Chairman and CEO of CCS.
Developed with high-quality materials and tested to ISO standards, the SeaFold 40’ is compatible with existing lift equipment at ports and depots, making it easy to integrate without special handling requirements.
