Pradhaan Air Express debuts with vaccine shipment to Tashkent, reinforcing India’s pharma export strength.
Pradhaan Air Express launched its inaugural flight from Mumbai to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, carrying 65 tonnes of vaccines from the Serum Institute of India. This milestone highlights the growing significance of India’s pharmaceutical sector, which saw exports reaching $24.4 billion in 2022-23, according to Pharmexcil.
The country’s air cargo industry is also expanding rapidly, with a 15 percent increase in cargo volume during the same period, as stated in a release from Pradhaan Air Express. Nipun Anand, Founder of Pradhaan Air Express, expressed pride in this achievement, emphasising its importance in showcasing India’s capabilities in high-quality vaccine supply.
“The successful shipment of vaccines to Tashkent showcases Serum Institute’s prowess in the industry and reinforces India’s position as a trusted supplier of high-quality vaccines,” said Anand. He added that this marks the beginning of a new era for India’s air cargo industry, aiming to establish the country as a dominant global player while bolstering its pharmaceutical reputation.
