Magenta Mobility’s ‘Project 302’ aims to decarbonize logistics in Bhiwandi with a new EV office and charging depot.
Magenta Mobility has announced ‘Project 302’, an initiative focused on decarbonizing logistics operations in Bhiwandi, one of India’s major warehousing hubs. The project includes the launch of a new office and an EV charging depot in Bhiwandi, utilising a hub-and-spoke model to deploy electric vehicles (EVs).
Project 302 represents Magenta Mobility’s strategic effort to enhance services for the e-commerce, FMCG, FCMD, and logistics sectors in the region. This initiative aligns with the company’s vision for a sustainable future. As part of the expansion, Magenta plans to hire 200 local Delivery Executives to manage the EV fleets, thereby creating significant employment opportunities in logistics, charging operations, and field services.
This strategic location will allow Magenta Mobility to improve its service offerings and operational efficiency in Western India, leveraging connections to the Mumbai-Nashik Expressway and the Western Express Highway.
The new office will prioritise sustainability by maximising natural light to reduce HVAC electricity consumption, adopting paperless operations, and minimising single-use plastics through reusable cups and recycled paper bags. Additionally, Magenta Mobility has partnered with an e-waste management company to manage and recycle e-waste generated from its operations, further reinforcing its commitment to environmental responsibility.
