FedEx Express, a global leader in express transportation, opens its regional headquarters in Singapore to strategically manage and accelerate growth in Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa, positioning itself to navigate some of the world’s fastest-growing markets.
The new regional headquarters, unveiled in Singapore, signifies a pivotal move for FedEx Express, positioning the company to oversee operations in key regions and drive growth. Attending the inauguration ceremony were notable figures including Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Singapore, Jonathan Kaplan, U.S. Ambassador to Singapore, Png Cheong Boon, Chairman, Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), and FedEx executives Raj Subramaniam, President and CEO, FedEx, and Richard W. Smith, President and CEO, Airline and International, FedEx Express.
Kawal Preet, President, Asia Pacific, Middle East, and Africa, FedEx Express, emphasised the strategic significance of the move, stating, “This is a strategic step in connecting businesses in our vast region with greater speed and agility.” Singapore’s geographic advantages position it as a natural gateway, allowing FedEx to tap into the vast opportunities presented by the fast-moving markets, particularly in Southeast Asia.
The regional headquarters, located at Centennial Tower, spans 2,694 square meters and integrates green-certified renovation products, reflecting FedEx’s commitment to sustainability. The company aims to actively collaborate with local authorities, investing in logistics networks across the region and sharing industrial expertise and technology to elevate logistics operations standards.
