Xeneta and Keelvar have integrated their platforms to enhance supply chain procurement through data-driven decision-making.
Xeneta, a leader in ocean and air freight rate benchmarking, has announced an integration with Keelvar, an intelligent sourcing optimization platform. This collaboration aims to revolutionise supply chain procurement by linking Xeneta’s extensive freight rate database with Keelvar’s advanced sourcing optimization tools.
Keelvar’s Sourcing Optimizer automates bid feedback and pricing strategies, leveraging Xeneta’s real-time database of over 450 million rates and 160,000 ocean port-to-port pairs. This integration allows procurement professionals to compare freight rates across carriers, gain real-time market insights, and optimise bid strategies, resulting in significant cost reductions.
Thorsten Diephaus, VP Strategic Alliances at Xeneta, emphasised that this partnership shifts procurement from traditional methods to a dynamic, data-driven approach. It enhances efficiency in managing spot requests and tender handling, empowering businesses to optimise procurement strategies and respond swiftly to market changes.
The integration also automates key procurement activities, reduces manual tasks, and supports quicker decision-making. Eric Kim, Senior Sourcing Manager at Microsoft, highlighted that Keelvar’s ability to pull Xeneta data directly into bids improves the bidding process and paves the way for future enhancements like automated spot buying.
Kasia Tati, Partnership Director at Keelvar, noted that this milestone sets a new standard for freight procurement efficiency, promising further value and transformation in the freight procurement technology landscape.
