The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced that the theme of the 2022 Safety Conference will be “Emerging Stronger—Safely Transforming to a More Resilient Tomorrow.” The event will be held on October 25-27 in Dubai, UAE, with Emirates serving as the host airline. The past two years of COVID-19 have put aviation to the test like never before.”

Despite these pressures, aviation continued to maintain the highest standards of safety. Now, we must ensure that we safely manage the challenges of rebuilding our connected world in response to rapidly returning demand, while also preparing for future growth. “The IATA Safety Conference is the forum for discussing and debating the path forward toward a safer tomorrow,” said Nick Careen, Senior Vice President, Operations, Safety, and Security at IATA.

The opening keynote address will be given by Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates Airline. “In an ever-more complex operating environment, leadership is critical to ensure that every link in the aviation chain is strong and future resilient.” Events like this one provide a valuable platform for aviation stakeholders to gather, communicate, and collaborate on safety-related policies and initiatives. “We are delighted to welcome the speakers and delegates to Dubai for the IATA Safety Conference,” Sir Tim said.
