Industry leaders at LogiMAT India 2025 engaged in a thought-provoking discussion on ‘The Road to Digital Transformation: AI, IoT, and Workforce Readiness in Logistics.’ Moderated by Softlink Global CEO Amit Maheshwari, the panel examined the rapid integration of AI, IoT, and Blockchain in logistics.
Experts including FFFAI Chairman Dushyant Mulani, UPS Express MD Abbas Panju, Envirotainer MD Ravi Kumar Thummalapalli, Cargomen Logistics Director Kamal Jain, and HMDA Truck Doc Logistics MD Mahesh Vadela shared key insights on industry preparedness.
With only 35 percent of logistics firms implementing integrated digital systems, the discussion stressed the urgency of technological adoption. Panelists highlighted AI-driven automation, IoT-powered efficiency, and the need for workforce reskilling to complement digital advances. They emphasised that while technology is reshaping logistics, human expertise remains irreplaceable.
Amit Maheshwari noted, “Technology alone isn’t enough; skilled professionals are key to successful transformation.” The session reinforced the need for a balanced strategy, combining innovation with workforce development for a future-ready logistics sector.
